Wau Salama’s participation confirmed by cecafa

20 06 2012 – (JUBA) – South Sudan Cup Champions AL Nasir reserve team came from behind to beat AL Meriekh reserve 4-2 on Tuesday at Meriekh playing ground in Juba.

This was a friendly game organised as a platform to scout new players for recruitment in the current transfer window or in December.

“This game basically has been organised to see new players, for the registration not only for Nasir or Meriekh but also other teams are here watching the game as well” Nasir head Coach Marako Maring

The Police team also completed their third signing of the season after sealing a deal for Ahmed Taban from Uganda.

Reports from club sources indicate that left footed Taban was signed for a reported fee of about 7,000 South Sudanese Pounds.

Ahmed Taban is a left wing player and will surely provide Coach Marako with the width that the team has been missing.

Kator FC have made so far six new signings to strengthen the team for the second spell of the League.

On cecafa updates, Secretary General of Cecafa Nicholas Musonyi has confirmed the participation of Wau Salama FC in this year’s regional club competition in Dar el Salaam on Tuesday.

Wau Salaam will become the first South Sudan’s club to participate in any international competition after the Independence of the new Country.

The tournament will start from 14th – 28th July in Dar el Salaam, Tanzania.
